Groom's Wedding Luncheon

I planned for about 50 people. They requested light and fresh salads and fruit, finger sandwiches and some sort of cheesecake dessert. The colors they asked me to utilize were a dark purple and grey/silver. Root Beer was a favorite for the bride and groom (they collect root beer bottles from different root beer varieties they have tried).

Ham, Turkey and cheese sandwiches on Hawaiian sweet rolls.

Asian Chicken Spinach Salad

Ranch Tortellini Salad

Candied Almond Strawberry Salad

Floral Centerpieces were arranged by me :)

Lemon brownies - the best ever!

Oreo Cheesecake Bars

The couples last name was "Sweet" so I displayed some "Sweet" sayings about love
along with some pictures of the bride and groom.

I incorporated some spider mums in root beer bottles to add a little more
of the bride and groom's personality to the decor. The bride and groom collect root beer bottles from the different root beers they try. I thought it would be fun to decorate with some root beer bottles as well as serve root beer.

Home Wedding With 1 Week to Prepare!

My friend Sarah gave me only a weeks notice that she was getting married at her new home.
Then she asked me to be in charge of organizing the food/decor/cake/flowers!
My budget was $500...for everything.
It was SO crazy that week but everything turned out beautiful!
Here's how it came together:

We didn't have a ton of space available for the food, so I included the take home chocolate favors on the food table. Dove chocolates have a special meaning for the bride and groom so I purchased small tulle bags from the Dollar Tree for guests to take home a few of their favorite kinds of Dove chocolates. The food table was a little crowded, but really reflected what the bride and groom wanted.

Cheeseburgers are a special food for the bride and groom, so I purchased cheeseburger sliders in different varieties from Market Street and Chili's. I love for wedding food to reflect the personality of the bride and groom ;).

Wedding cake purchased at Market Street. When you say "wedding cake" to a bakery, the price automatically increases. So we had the bakery stack sheet cakes to create a tiered effect like a traditional wedding cake, but for significantly less cost.

Guests could sign a picture mat with a message for the happy couple.

The entryway to the couples new home and where they stood to tie the knot!
